FAQ

How long will my dot Board take to charge?

Wondering how long you can expect your dot Board to charge? Because dot Boards feature a modular design that allows you to add and subtract batteries at will, the time it takes to fully charge your board will depend on the configuration you choose and the dot Charger you’re using.

See below for rough estimates based on these conditions:

  • One Battery with Standard 1.5A 48V Adaptor – 60 Minutes
  • Two Batteries with Standard 1.5A 48V Adaptor – 120 Minutes
  • Three Batteries with Standard 1.5A 48V Adaptor – 180 Minutes
  • One Battery with Standard 3.5A 48V Adaptor – 45 Minutes
  • Two Batteries with Standard 3.5A 48V Adaptor – 90 Minutes
  • Three Batteries with Standard 3.5A 48V Adaptor – 135 Minutes
  • Four Batteries with Standard 3.5A 48V Adaptor – 180 Minutes

dot Batteries don’t need to be charged all the way – with a range of up to 14km per battery per full charge, partial charges are still going to be plenty on most short to medium length trips. If you are using the Standard 1.5A 48V Adaptor and want to cut down on charge time, you can purchase the more powerful Standard 3.5A 48V Adaptor through our dot Chargers page.
