FAQ

How do I submit a repair or warranty request?

If you’ve been having trouble with your dot Board and haven’t had any success with the usual troubleshooting steps, then you may wish to submit a repair or warranty request via our contact form.

Repairs and Warranties Request Form

Through that contact form, we’ll ask for a description of the problem and a few details that will help us keep the process quick and smooth. Those details include:

  • Your name.
  • A description of the fault.
  • Your ‘Skateboard ID’ (found under ‘Info’ on your remote).
  • Phone number.
  • Shipping address.
  • Receipt or Proof of Purchase.
  • A photo or video of the issue.

Once you’ve submitted your form, a customer service representative from the dot Team will be in touch as soon as possible.

We conduct servicing and repairs at our HQ in Port Melbourne. We typically arrange for returns to be carried out by StarTrack at a total cost of $60.00 return. If your board is still covered under warranty, then we will cover that cost along with the cost of repairing your board.

If your dot Board is not covered by your warranty, then you will be expected to cover the cost of shipping, labour and any replacement parts required to get your board operational. We will provide you with an estimate of the total cost before completing a fix. If the cost is more than you want to pay, you will always have the option of simply paying for shipping and the initial inspection labour to have your board returned non-operational.

Your dot Board is covered by a one-year manufacturer’s warranty that covers defects in material and workmanship. The one-year limited warranty period starts from the date of first retail purchase of the product. This limited warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser only.

Refer to our warranty for more details, but as a quick reference, your board will not be covered under warranty if:

  • You have had your dot Board longer than 12 months.
  • You have purchased your dot Board second-hand.
  • Your board is water damaged.
  • Your board was damaged in an accident. E.g., run over by a car or similar.
  • Your board has been customised with non-standard parts or equipment.

We will make every attempt to turn around warranty repairs within 5 business days (not including shipping time). In rare cases, and in times of high volume, we may need to take longer.
